The Search is Over

Back in the summer of 2017, Andrew and Chris had overlapping hang-out time with mutual friend, Chelsea, who would eventually officiate their wedding. Though neither made a move at the time, they continued to run into each other in the NYC theater audition circuit. Eventually, they were both cast on the national tour of Rock of Ages, playing opposite as the comedic side plot of the show. It was just a matter of time before Chris and Andrew started dating on the road. They moved into their first apartment together, all 475 ft², in 2020, and mackerel tabby, Jojo, was adopted later that year. Through career changes and navigating a global pandemic, it became clear these two were meant for each other. Andrew proposed to Chris in Maui on a family vacation mid-2021, followed by Chris’s proposal to Andrew in the Santa Cruz mountains six months later. The following year, the couple purchased their first home in Oakland and relocated to the Bay Area (Jojo in tow, of course!) to start their new adventure in Northern California. Though the wedding day was slightly windier and colder than anyone had predicted, the couple didn’t let it bother them and just enjoyed the love of their friends and family.
