With more than twenty years of experience planning events throughout her native San Francisco Bay Area, Jessica founded Dreams on a Dime in 2007 to bring her skills, creativity, and client‑centered philosophy to life. Her academic background in both Humanities and Industrial Design gives her a unique blend of cultural insight and design sensibility - an ideal foundation for crafting meaningful, beautifully executed events. 

Outside of work, Jessica can often be found making her rounds at 99 Ranch Asian supermarket, and she rarely manages to pass up a good thrift store. She loves to travel and, being half Taiwanese - and a passable conversational Mandarin speaker - has spent a good amount of time in Asia. She enjoys live music and comedy and is an avid movie buff - especially when it comes to foreign and indie films. She’s also a fan of theater, particularly musicals, and loves exploring new restaurants. Just as often, she’s perfectly content spending the day working in the yard or sitting on the couch with her husband and their dogs, watching National Geographic documentaries.

Born and raised in Southern Oregon, Cierra moved to Southern California after high school to attend California Lutheran University, where she studied International Business with a minor in International Relations. While in high school, she studied abroad in Italy and returned for her junior year of university. Her Italian may be a bit rusty these days, but she can still carry on a simple conversation. After graduation, Cierra stepped into the event world as a private banquet manager for several restaurants and quickly discovered her passion for event planning. When she relocated to San Francisco, she continued to grow in the field as the Private Events Coordinator for San Francisco City Hall before joining the team at Dreams on a Dime. 

Outside of work, Cierra loves spending time with her husband, their daughter, and their mini‑Schnauzer, Jax. She’s also committed to expanding - and conquering - the ever‑growing adventures on her bucket list. 

As a kid, Jessica’s family moved frequently, giving her the chance to live in different parts of the United States and experience a wide range of communities and cultures. A few years after graduating college in Southern California, she began her career in the wedding industry as an event coordinator at a charming, century‑old farmhouse venue nestled in the Appalachian Mountains outside Knoxville, Tennessee. Two years later, she relocated to San Francisco and joined Dreams on a Dime as a day‑of assistant, quickly working her way up to event specialist and coordinating her own events with care, creativity, and a calm, steady presence. 

When she’s not working, she enjoys solving word games and puzzles, isn’t the least bit embarrassed to unwind with video games, and cherishes time spent with her two fluffy cats. 

Brenda has spent her life immersed in artistic expression, and for the past seven years she’s brought that creativity into planning unforgettable, detail‑driven events. After styling her own wedding, she realized event planning was the perfect blend of her skills in art, design, craft, fashion, and organization, leading her to join the Dreams on a Dime team.  With degrees in Graphic Design, Art Education, and Fashion Design, Brenda began her career as an after‑school program leader and art instructor before moving into children’s wear design for major brands. In 2013, she opened her own arts and crafts studio and event space, which was featured in several Bay Area publications.  She is also multilingual, speaking Cantonese fluently and conversational Mandarin.    

Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, exploring new travel ideas, and spending time with her husband and kids.
