That phrase became a running joke between me, Corinne, and Wayne. When the couple, who live in New York, first reached out in February 2024, they let me know they both had super busy schedules, so I was fully prepared to provide a little extra prodding when things were due. But, as the phrase says, we got it done! As part of a traditional Chinese reception, the couple treated their guests to a formal Chinese banquet and entertained them with both lion dancers as well as an emcee who sang popular songs in both Mandarin and Cantonese. The bride rotated between three different outfits, including a formal wedding gown her mother designed and sewed for her. There were a lot of moving parts both beforehand and on the wedding day, but it all came together beautifully. I couldn’t ask for a better couple and event to round out our 2024 calendar … Congratulations, 恭喜, Corinne and Wayne!
