“Hahahaha, my friends think they are hilarious”

That was my favorite email from the groom, it doesn’t even matter if you have no idea what he’s talking about. Lydia and Drew were such a joy to work with! The couple married earlier in the year at a civil ceremony but still wanted the party to share the celebration with friends and family. As the couple share a 7-year-old (who himself was great fun) and so many of their guests had children, the California Academy of Sciences seemed like a no brainer for the venue. Guests started in the African Hall then moved into the Rainforest and Aquarium for cocktail hour. After cocktails, guests made their way up to the Piazza for dinner, dancing, and some crowd surfing (how often do you get that at a wedding?!). While the parents danced, the kids were escorted on tours around the museum to visit Claude, the albino alligator, in the Swamp, African penguins in African Hall, rays in the Reef Lagoon, and had the opportunity to experience what it was like during the 1989 earthquake in the Shake House.

Wonderful working with you, so glad to have been a part of your special day!
