Early on in our relationship, my husband told me he wasn’t romantic. Don’t get me wrong, I’m 100% fine with practical gifts for gift giving occasions (although the portable tire inflater for Christmas was maybe just a little unwhelming). While he has given me very sweet cards and a very romantic pendant for our first Christmas, I’ve learned not to get my hopes up for Valentine’s Day and am happy with what I’m sure is his last minute purchase of a card and box of chocolate. Because, at the end of the day, while the things may be sweet, knowing he loves me is much, much sweeter.
